Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Toward (Interview Tracker), published by Visify Apps, handles information. Toward is designed to be local-first: your applications and rounds stay on your device unless you choose optional cloud backup.
1. Information we process
1.1 On your device (local)
- Company names, roles, statuses, notes, job links, and interview / assessment rounds you enter
- Resume version labels and optional resume files you upload (stored in the app’s private documents folder)
- App preferences (theme, no-reply auto-mark, quieter-ads window)
This data is stored in a local database on your phone. Visify Appscannot read it unless you use optional cloud backup.
1.2 Optional account & cloud backup
If you sign in for cloud backup, we process:
- Email address and authentication credentials (via Firebase Authentication — email/password or Google Sign-In)
- Companies, rounds, and resume metadata (name, note, filenames) in Cloud Firestore under your user id
- Backup timestamps and counts
Resume PDF/DOC file bytes are not uploaded. On restore, Toward only re-links files that still exist on that same device. Backup is optional — you can use Toward without an account.
1.3 Advertising (Android)
The App shows ads through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, interaction data, and diagnostic information to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where allowed. You may see options related to ad personalization based on your region and device settings.

1.4 Diagnostics
When Firebase is configured for a build, Toward may use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for stability and aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal information.
1.5 Notifications
Toward may schedule a local nudge after a round’s scheduled time so you can log pass or fail. It does not use Firebase Cloud Messaging or exact-alarm / calendar permissions for these nudges.
2. How we use information
- To provide interview tracking on your device
- To provide optional backup/restore if you sign in
- To show ads and keep the App free
- To improve reliability and security
3. Sharing
- Google Firebase — optional auth and backup
- Google AdMob / advertising partners — ads and measurement
- We do not sell personal data to data brokers
4. Retention
- Local data remains until you clear it in Settings or uninstall the App
- Cloud backup remains until you delete the backup/account or request deletion
- Ad-related data is retained per Google’s policies
5. Your choices
- Use the App without signing in
- Clear all local data from Settings
- Delete cloud backup / account from Settings → Cloud backup (seeaccount deletion)
- Adjust device ad / notification settings, or use the in-app rewarded option to pause ads temporarily when offered

6. Children
Toward is aimed at students and job seekers. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. International processing
If you use Firebase or AdMob, data may be processed on servers outside your country, including by Google, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
